I can comment regarding the name conf...Nice post... I can comment regarding the name confusion (CatalogRecord, dataset and datapackage). I do agree that this is confusing and this is just an attempt to clarify a bit that I know... <br /><br />dcat:CatalogRecord describes an entry in CKAN (that is a dataset that might exists on CKAN or somewhere else on the web outside CKAN). CatalogRecord points to the dataset it describes via dcat:dataset (though I think using foaf:primaryTopic is much better).
